April LootCrate Review!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by LootCrate for the review free of charge.****

The April theme for LootCrate was "Quest". I do have to say I was a little disappointed in a way because mid last month I have received a letter saying it was the reveal for April's box and it would be a city themed box featuring games such as Bioshock and The Division which I was pretty excited about, but then I got another email a week later saying the box would be themed 'Quest" and featured other inspired shows and movies so I was a bit confused and haven't seen anything about it since. But I do have to say there are two things in this box that I was pretty excited about and that was Harry Potter and The Labyrinth.

The full inspiration for this months box was from Harry Potter, The Labyrinth, Vikings, DND, and Uncharted. One of the things I like about this box is that my kids like to re-purpose the boxes for their toys because the boxes can be turned 'inside out' which will turn it into a scene or a labyrinth as shown in the first photo above. This months box included a Labyrinth shirt which features King Jareth and Sarah along with other members of the cast, next up in the box was a Exclusive D20 ice mold which is fairly large and pretty neat. There was also a Vikings inspired drinking horn with strap, A pair of Harry Potter socks, A Uncharted mini poster and the monthly collectable pin.

LootCrate ships to the US,Canada,The United Kingdom and Australia. Loot Crate is $13.95 a month [plus $6 S/H] the site guarantees $30+ worth of goodies in your box You can sign up for just a one time box or you can sign up for 6 months to a years worth of boxes & you can use the code “LunaMoon10” you will receive 10% off of your purchase price. What do you think might be in Next months box? May's theme will be "Power" and some of the things include will be from Marvel, Warcraft the movie and DragonBall Z.

Toy State Review!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Toy State for the review free of charge.****

My son loves almost anything cars, especially bigger cars that zoom around the house or on their own via a wireless controller so we were pretty happy when we were offered the chance to do a review with a company called Toy State. Toy State sells a number of toys in the following lines: Hot Wheels, Road Rippers, WWE, Gear Heads, Nikko R/C, CAT & James Bond 007.

For the review we received a pretty neat car called a Flipping Fury by Hot Wheels. This car features a different car on each side of it's body, one side is blue and looks like a fighter jet and the other side looks like a red race car. When you hit the middle button the engine starts up and the car takes off, it will go forward first then it will stop and start heading backwards. When it hits something hard enough or just right it will flip itself over to the other side and keep going. I was going to take a video of this car in action but this car is pretty fast and crazy so it is hard to follow along with as a video. My kids love this car and think it is a lot of fun because not only is it fast and fun but it also has four different music buttons that play different tunes. Toy State products can be purchased from Target, Amazon, Toys R Us, K-mart and Walmart. This car is sturdy and can take bashing into things no problem so if your child is normally a little rough with their toys then this car would be perfect for them.

Pacifica nail polish review

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Pacifica for the review free of charge.****

I recently received a fun little surprise in the mail, about a week ago I went to go check my mail as I do everyday and found a cute little box with my blog name on it. I wasn't expecting anything that small so I was curious as to what it was, when I got inside my house I opened it up and was pleasantly surprised to find a Pacifica Beauty nail polish trio. I really like how the tissue paper they used to package this trio looks like the design the use on the bottle neck of the polish and the packaging it comes in.

I wasn't expecting this so I was already quite giddy to receive something so unexpected in the mail but I was also shocked in a good way because I've tried Pacifica makeup products in the past (their eyeshadow) and enjoyed it but I didn't know they made polish. The set I received is 100% vegan and cruelty-free, it came with two shades of blue and a gray. The gray is called Star Dust Memories, the darker blue is called Midnight Rambler and the lighter blue is called Super Fox. I absolutely love the shade Super Fox which is shown in the left hand photo above and as the polka dots on the second set of nails, once it dries it goes from an aqua marine color to a emerald turquoise depending on the lighting. The Midnight Rambler is lovely as well, as you can see from the photo on the right above it is a pretty deep shade of blue both blues shown above are one coat which is nice because the consistency of this polish is just right. The Star Dust Memories doesn't come out as it appears in the bottle unless you add on a few coats because it is more of a sheer gray with sparkles. Their polish sells for $9 a bottle, with this trio I would say the blues are worth it but I probably wouldn't buy the gray for that price since the polish doesn't have as much pigment or thick/smoothness to it.
