Gillette Venus Vox Box Reivew!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Influenster and Gillette Venus for the review free of charge.****

When I receive the chance I participate in Vox boxes by Influenster, The campaign I am currently participating in features the new Gillette Venus snap with embrace. You might be thinking what is the Venus Snap? it is a new portable razor with carrying case, have you ever shaved your legs so you could wear a skirt, dress or shorts to an important even and then realized you missed a spot of hair while shaving? I know I have in the past it is embarrassing and who carry's full sized razors around with them?

The new snap fits perfectly into your purse, gym bag or in your luggage since it has it's own carrying case you don't need to worry about a razor floating lose in your bag. I personally think they are quite adorable the razor from tip to end is about the size of my middle finger. The carrying case is small enough to hold comfortably in your hand, and the razor will come in useful when your in a rush, missed a spot or need to take it on a trip to save room in your bag. Each razor has five blades, and a comfortable rubber holding spot to give you a firm grip on the razor. It works exactly the same as a full sized razor the only different with this is it has a shorter handle and comes with a carrying case.

Orange Glad Review!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Orange Glad for the review free of charge.****

I know I should avoid sweets but sometimes they are too tempting, One of the reasons why is a monthly dessert subscription box called Orange Glad. Every month you are sent a little orange package which contains 5 gourmet treats that vary from cookies to fudge or chocolate covered marshmallows. My kids became quite excited when they seen the box arrive in the mail, We try not to buy sweets at the store so the kids love when they do get something special to eat. Want to order dessert online but your afraid of how the condition will be when it reaches you? Don't be! When they send products with chocolate or other melt-able components they package it in a Ice pack so that it is in perfect condition when it arrives.

The May 2014 box included: A S'mores cookie by Baking Betty's, A peanut butter cup cookie also by Baking Betty's, A Italian Butterhorn by Cici's Italian butterhorns, A Orange cranberry welsh cake from Welsh cakes and a Gluten-Free Ultimate brownie by the Fine Sconehenge baking company. Each box also includes a post card that shows a photo of each product with a description, ingredients list and a suggested "Eat by date" which comes in handy for those with allergies. The morning after the box arrived I had the Italian butterhorn with my morning coffee they are tasty and not overly sweet, they reminded me of a cinnamon roll in crescent form. They can be consumed alone but I would suggest eating them with a cup of coffee, milk or hot coco. My kids really enjoyed the cookies that were in the box they each had half of each, from their thoughts on them the S'mores cookie was the best. My husband enjoyed the welsh cakes, they were quite different from your every day cookie I had a bite of one and the texture reminded me of a mixture between a English muffin and a cookie. The last thing we tried was the brownie which my husband and I split, it was quite delicious I hadn't realized until we finished that it was Gluten free it tasted lighter than a regular brownie but still just as sweet.

The Orange Glad box cost $15 a month plus Shipping and Handling, Keep in mind the cost covers not only the sweets but the packing supplies as well which keep your treats fresh on their way to you. If you are looking for a personal gift they have a gift giving option which allows you to send a single package or 3-6 month subscription to someone you know. I personally think the price is worth what you will receive based on how many products you get and the product size. If you want to buy more of one specific item they have many of the products available for sale directly through their website, otherwise you can visit the sponsor companies website. If you are looking for new subscription boxes to purchase this may be one you want to look into getting.

May LootCrate Reivew!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by LootCrate for the review free of charge.****

One of the most exciting times of the month is when LootCrate ships out their monthly box, You never know what is in the package or if you could be the lucky winner of the Mega Crate. The theme for the May LootCrate box is "Adventure" before the Loot arrived I knew at least one or two of the products would involve Zelda which I was excited about since I played the Zelda game when I was younger. This month it didn't have it's normal booklet that has info on the products included because they recently made that Digital which is delivered to your email monthly.

What is in the May "Adventure" LootCrate? The first thing I pulled out was a T-shirt that featured the silhouette of Zelda formed from words such as "Brave", "Dungeon Seeker" and more. The shirt is soft, stretchy and looks great their sizes seem to run a little on the small size so when you sign up I would suggest going for a shirt one size larger than you wear to insure you will get a shirt that fits. Also included in the crate was: A Zelda bottle opener key chain, A Adventure time tin with a mystery figure, A mystery Minecraft key chain, Temporary Tattoos, Stickers and a CD. Each month you will also receive a collectable pin for that month this month it featured Zelda's Shield and swords in Minecraft imaging.

I personally think that LootCrate would make a great gift for any comic, video game, or cartoon lover in your family. LootCrate ships to the US,Canada,The United Kingdom and Australia. Loot Crate is $13.37 a month [plus s&h] the site guarantees $20+ worth of goodies in your box You can sign up for just a one time box or you can sign up for 6 months to a years worth of boxes & you can use the code “LunaMoon10” you will receive 10% off of your purchase price. What do you think might be in Next months box?

Duff Goldman - Baking Duff Cake Mixes Reivew + Giveaway!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Gartner Studios & Duff for the review & giveaway free of charge.****

I will be the first to admit I am horrible at baking, five years ago I tried to make my fiance a two level black and red cake. It turned out a crumbled pink and purple heap, it still tasted great but looked terrible. Fortunately for me Duff Goldman the cake master has developed a line of easy to follow cake mixes that create works of art, and for those who can't seem to get it right on their own this is perfect. I received a package with two 8" pans, A Pink Camouflage Cake mix, An Apron, Gel Color mix in's, A rainbow tie dye cake mix and two cream cheese frosting's.

I love the way the cakes look in the photos on the box, but I was worried mine would look nothing like it. The first cake I tried was the Rainbow tie dye cake the directions were easy to follow and simple to complete, after mixing up the cake mix you are instructed to pour an even amount (About half a cup) into six different bowls which is where you will mix in the colors. There was exactly enough of the coloring to make each layer of the cake, next was to pour half of each bowl into one of the 8" pans pour each color over the previous one, without mixing it as you go. Your final product will look like the first image below:

After baking for about twenty minutes the cakes were ready to be pulled out to cool down and become frosted. The cakes easily came out of the pans and looked great I was quite excited that so far everything was going well next came frosting and putting the cakes together. For the first layer I decided to go with a blue as the color for my frosting I put part of the white cheese cream frosting into a bowl and used the gel coloring, the first layer looked great and I finally figured out how to get the frosting even without any lumps or chunks missing from the cake. Placing the second layer on top of the first was nerve wrecking but I found the cake held together well and went on without an issue. The outside of the cake was frosted red and was ready to be photographed and consumed. The cake was fluffy, full of flavors and looks spectacular I received quite a few compliments on it and had people asking what I used to do it. I am very happy with this product and would consider buying the Duff products for Birthdays and other celebrations. The cake mixes can be bought directly through the Duff website for $2.99 a box along with the frosting, pans, kits and more!

Prize Alert:
One Lucky winner will be receiving a  Cake Mix & Frosting picked out by the sponsor.

April Loot Crate!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Loot Crate for the review  free of charge.****
Warning: Bad quality photos my previous home had horrible in-door lighting. Last month was a crazy and hectic time for my family, during that time I fell behind on blog posts but I am here to share them with you now and bring you lots of new posts over the summer. I absolutely love the Lootcrate Subscription box, every month it is jam packed with Geek and Gamer goods from various TV shows, Movies, Video games, Anime's and more. The April LootCrate box was themed "Dragon" and yes for those of you who love Game of Thrones it was largely focused around the show.

The April LootCrate included: An Elder Scrolls online exclusive figure, A Game of Thrones mystery mini figure, Dragon Jerky, Dragon Sheild screen cleaner, 20 Sided stress dice, 20 sided polyhedral dice, and a Dragon slayer dog tag. I love getting the LootCrate in the mail because it is like having Christmas once a month you never know what your going to get, and you could end up winning the Mega Crate with over $200 worth of products every month which could be anything from collecatble figures to a PS4.

My kids became excited over the 20 sided stress dice and ran off with it right away and my husband bolted with the actual D20 to put with his other gaming dice. The Dragon jerky was strange but fun it was green in color but tasted like regular jerky. I haven't seen or read the Game of Thornes series so I wasn't as excited about this theme as some would be but at the same time I was excited since I can hold onto these gifts for a friend who loves GOT. I personally think that Loot Crate would make a great gift for any comic, video game, or cartoon lover in your family. Loot Crate ships to the US,Canada,The United Kingdom and Australia.  Loot Crate is $13.37 a month [plus s&h] the site guarantees $20+ worth of goodies in your box
