August LootCrate Box Review!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by LootCrate for the review free of charge.****

One of my favorite times of the month is when my LootCrate Arrives! LootCrate is a gamer/geek themed subscription box that gets sent out once a month and contains over $25 of gamer/geek goods. Last months theme was 'Villains' and was one of the best boxes I have received this year, this months box was 'Heros' themed and it was just as amazing as last month. My mail person never knocks so sometimes I feel like a stalker peeping out my window to see if there are any packages on my porch, When I peered out the window and seen a little black box sitting on my bench I knew my LootCrate had arrived, I ran out to grab it and came inside to open it right away.

This months box included a Groot Funko Pop, A Ooze Action glow in the dark Ninja Turtle action figure - we received Raphael, A pair of radical TMNT mask sunglasses, A set of lighting bolt shoe decorations that go onto your shoe laces, A Sonic air freshener, A magnet, Three digital downloads which included one full game and additional content for two other games on Steam, and the monthly LootCrate pin which is collectable! My son took off with the TMNT goods once I was done taking photos and my daughter claimed Groot as hers so you can tell they enjoyed this months box as well. The one thing I did wish was different was the Air Freshener as it is the exact same one I received in a previous box. The only item I didn't like was the lightning bolts for the shoes because they won't be used other wise I loved everything in this months box. My kids and I enjoyed the fact that the inside of the LootCrate box resembled the Ninja Turtles hide out in the sewer which means they are able to use it when playing with their TMNT figures.

I personally think that LootCrate would make a great gift for any comic, video game, or cartoon lover in your family. LootCrate ships to the US,Canada,The United Kingdom and Australia. Loot Crate is $13.37 a month [plus s&h] the site guarantees $30+ worth of goodies in your box You can sign up for just a one time box or you can sign up for 6 months to a years worth of boxes & you can use the code “LunaMoon10” you will receive 10% off of your purchase price. What do you think might be in Next months box?

Color Me Monthly Review!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Color Me Monthly for the review free of charge.****

I may not be a pro at doing nail art and my nails may look a bit sloppy at times, but I enjoy painting my nails and I am always on the look out for not only fun new colors but great new brands as well. Like many other products no two nail polish companies are the same! I recently was told about a company called Color Me Monthly who sends out a monthly box containing a mystery nail polish color, part of the fun is not knowing which color you are going to get. They ship out once a month during the first week of the month which means you won't be left waiting until mid to end of the month to get your new color.

I was not only lucky enough to receive the color for August 2014 but I was also sent the polish from October of 2013 to test out and review. I wasn't sure what to expect but I am pleased with the results. The August polish is called Lemon Battery and it is a sunny lemon yellow with a nice shine, the card that came with the polish had the follow description "A piece of citrus with copper and zinc wires science is awesome" and it had a "try me" square for you to test your polish on white paper before painting your nails. I found the polish dried quickly and had a nice yellow shade, it is eye catching but didn't have a "Bam in your face" brightness that makes your eyes sore. I had a small laugh when I saw this months color was yellow as I have been debating getting a yellow so I can do little chicks for Easter, Christmas lights for Christmas and other fun holiday themed polish. The polish dried fast which is good when you have a five year old who doesn't hold still after getting her nails painted.

The shade for October of 2013 is called Alchemist "Into the cauldron inedible candy corn: out, onyx and gold". This shade is a very light black with copper, gold and silver glitter, I found that a layer or two of this shade was a little too light for me so I added another layer or two. I think it looks alright on it's own but if you add a light layer over pure black polish or even red it looks amazing and sparkly. I enjoyed both shades and can think of a number of uses for them. You can purchase a Month of Color Me Monthly or six months to a year, a single month is $7 and a year subscription is $75, If you have the extra money and your looking for a new polish company to enjoy I say go for it and sign up! Although I do enjoy the polish I would buy this as a gift for someone who really loves polish but taking care of two small kids makes it hard to come up with the extra funds a month. I think for me instead of doing a monthly thing I would purchase a few of their past polishes such as the gorgeous Seven Sisters, or Leprechaun’s Loot. Shipping was fast and the polish arrived in an adorable little box that was the perfect size to ship a polish in. Customer service is fast and friendly they go above and beyond to make their customers happy! I think that is a huge plus when it comes to purchasing a product from a company, because if something were to ever go wrong you would want a friendly and helpful customer service agent there to help you.

Glitter Wishes by Kara Giveaway & Review!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Glitter Wishes by Kara for the review & giveaway free of charge.****

My daughters birthday isn't until December but I wanted to get a head start on making plans because it will be here before I know it and if I'm not prepared then I will go crazy from last minute planning. I asked my daughter what she would like as here theme this year and she decided on Frozen which I think is a great theme for her Winter birthday and I know there are lots of Frozen party supplies available but I wanted to search around for some unique party supplies you won't find walking into Party City. The smallest details can really make a party pop, up until recently I hadn't really thought about the birthday candles I always just bought the regular numbers from the grocery store. I found a great etsy shop called Glitter Wishes by Kara who sells custom designed candles to fit any birthday theme.

I want to start by saying that Kara's customer service is fast and quite friendly, I had requested that she ship the candle to where it's delivery would fall between Thur-Saturday as I am home during the day and was afraid the candle might melt if it was left in the AZ heat. She happily sent it so it would arrive on Friday. As you can see in the photo above the candle was neatly wrapped and came in a wax parchment paper to prevent it from getting stuck to the tissue paper. The candle looks great it is completely full of glitter, gem stones and has a large snow flake. My daughter was ecstatic when she seen the candle and I think it will go perfectly with her other party decorations. The candle is large and will stick out well sitting on top of a cake, I will be keeping this to put in her keep sakes box and think it would be a fun idea to buy more customized candles in the future to really tie the party theme together. The candle I received is well decorated and will hold up to being handled a lot on the birthday party day.

Looking for a specific theme? If you message Glitter Wishes by Kara I am sure she would be more than happy to work with you on creating the perfect candle for your party. She offers candles for both boys and girls with themes such as Fire Trucks, Mickey/Minnie mouse, Butterflies and more. All candles range from $8.50 to $17 for double digits, yes it might seem a bit high for a candle but taking into consideration it is custom decorated to fit the party theme and can be kept for a future keepsake I think the price is very reasonable, some of the sets such as the "80's" candle would make a big impact for someone who might not be receiving a big party and will show you went the extra mile to really make their big day special. Glitter Wishes by Kara ships world wide!

One lucky winner will receive 1 candle of their choice. Single Digit number only. Open World Wide.

Complex Wish Review!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Complex Wish for the review free of charge.****

I used to save plastic bags from the store for dirty diapers because they came in handy when I wasn't able to put it in the outside trash can right away, but since my son is in the process of potty training and our plastic bag collection has become quite large I have too many bags. I've been thinking of ways I can cut back on the amount of plastic bags my family & I go through, when I decided I want to start using tote bags to put my store purchases in. So I began a hunt for cute tote bags that fit my personality and likes along with being effective for carrying groceries or other purchases which is when I came upon Complex Wish on Etsy. I was recently sent the How to train your dragon - Toothless and Hiccup tote for review.

The bag arrived in a very timely manner and was well packaged it arrived in a sealed plastic bag to keep it safe from getting wet or dirty while on it's journey to me. Along with the bag I also received an adorable bonus Totoro drink coaster that is squishy and adorable, I think I would be sad to put a cup onto this coaster because of how great it looks. The tote is 14.5in x 15in and has a hand drawn photo heat pressed onto 100% cotton. The images featured on the products sold by Complex Wish are hand drawn by Lynn the artist who runs Complex Wish, I personally think there are a lot of details in the image and she really captures the essences of both characters. I now carry this bag around with me in my car to make sure I have it with when I make purchases, I have received quite a few compliments on it asking where I purchased it from.

Along with tote bags Complex Wish also offers key chains, coasters, mouse pads & more featuring a number of characters. The tote bags are $14.99 a piece which I think is 100% worth the price considering the bag is 100% cotton, sturdy and the images are hand drawn. Customer service is fast, friendly and reliable this is an Etsy shop I would purchase from in the future for gifting needs and my own person needs. All items ship World Wide!

Rude and Reckless Review & Giveaway!

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others. The products mentioned below have been provided by Rude and Reckless for the review & giveaway free of charge.****

If you are a fan of my facebook page you will have recently seen a teaser post for a Toothless necklace that is absolutely adorable. The giveaway you have all been waiting for is finally here! Read the review below and enter the giveaway to win a Toothless necklace of your own. Toothless is a personal favorite Disney character of mine because he is lovable, and an all around great character so when I came across this toothless necklace from Rude and Reckless on etsy I knew not only would my fans love it but my daughter would as well. I have received the opportunity to share not only a review of the necklace with you buy one of you will win your very own necklace.

Shipping was fast and the necklace came wrapped perfectly to keep it protected, the necklace was wrapped in bubble wrap laid on a padded cushion in a box and the box was also bubble wrapped. The necklace looks just as cute in person as it does in the photos online which says a lot because we all know sometimes the final product looks nothing like the photo shown. The necklace is about 3" x 3" which is the perfect size for a necklace, I was worried at first as the photo on Rude and Reckless lead me to believe it was slightly bigger but I was pleased to find it was smaller than I expected. Toothless has a lot of detail put into him, the wings have lines to show each section of the wing, he has hands, feet and his tail with its "fix" Hiccup made for him along with a number of other details. The price of the necklace is $30 which includes the chain, you may be thinking this is a steep price but I think it is right on the dot. The necklace is custom made, packaged with care and looks great and the price is fitting. The shop owner is sweet and professional!

Toothless not your style? Rude and Reckless offers a number of products from Zombies to TV show themed items as shown above. Some of my other shop favorites include the Cthulu Mythos - Amulet of the elder gods, Kirby necklace, Copperpus - Octopus necklace and the sloth necklace. Which product is your favorite from her shop?

Prize Alert:
One lucky winner will receive their own Toothless necklace! This giveaway is open World Wide.
