My children are completely different when it comes to food, My son loves pretty much everything you give him but my daughter doesn't want anything and refuses to try anything new. Sometimes it is hard to get her to eat new things, it took almost a month to get her to try Watermelon which she ended up loving. I know it is often an age thing and everyone says they outgrow it but I wanted to try out a new video from Copy-Kids called Copy Kids eat fruits and vegetables. Copy-Kids is a media company producing video that encourages positive habits in young children, by watching and copying other kids. Copy-Kids unique content — DVD, online and TV — helps parents get their children hooked on healthy and positive habits.
I have been allowed the chance to write a review of the DVD and offer a copy to one of my readers, This DVD offers 12 chapters which are each seven minutes long and feature a different fruit or vegetable. I think this video covers a nice range of both fruits and vegetables, it covers; Bell Peppers, Carrots, Raspberries, Broccoli, Bananas, Strawberries, Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Oranges, Avocados, Apples and Blueberries which are all the best of the two food groups. Before sitting down with my daughter to watch this, I wanted to watch a little bit of it before hand to better gauge how well she would enjoy it. Each section shows children between 9 months and 4 years old and are showing eating and enjoying the fruit or vegetable for that section, the clips are colorful and engaging. The DVD includes an on-camera discussion about healthy eating with renowned pediatrician Dr. Jay Gordon, plus a section of delightful outtakes. It is best to have the fruit or vegetable sitting in a bowl on the table while your child is watching the section for the same produce item this will help them in wanting to "Copy" the kids on the DVD and try it themselves. My daughter is a little stubborn but I think after a few times of watching this she will want to copy the kids on screen, so far she has been enjoying the DVD and the sections we have watched she already loves bananas so that chapter we will more than likely skip to concentrate on something new. My daughter loves their blue bird mascot she thinks it is Blue from the movie Rio which makes her want to watch the show more. Later this year they will be coming out with the second addition to their DVD line so keep your eyes out in the mean time enter to win a copy of their fruits and vegetables edition.
One lucky reader is going to win their own copy of Copy-Kids!
