Merlot Skin Care Giveaway & Review

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others.Products were Provided by Merlot for the Review & Giveaway free of charge****

I was recently introduced to a skin care line that is very new to me, A company called Merlot offers natural grape seed skin care items. Last week was the first time I had heard of Merlot but I am very glad I did because I enjoy using their products. Did you know,Research studies have shown that grape seed antioxidants are 50 times more powerful than Vita min E and nearly 25 times more powerful than Vitamin C? For a review I was recently sent their Purifying Peel Off Mask & the First Crush 3-in-1 Blemish/Acne Treatment the package arrived faster than I expected it to so I was excited to test out the products.
My skin can be quite sensitive to facial cleansing products so it is always nice to find something that works & doesn't effect my face in a negative way. I am lucky with that fact that my face never breaks out but I do get small black heads on my nose which sucks so the first product I tried was the Purifying Peel Off Mask. The mask is light purple in color & it doesn't have a harsh chemical smell like other masks I have tried. I don't think I applied the mask thick enough as it wasn't easy for me to "peel" it off but it washed off just fine leaving my skin feeling softer than normal. The true test comes the next day my face may be sensitive but it doesn't show it right away, If a product irritates my skin it will create a blemish or two on my cheeks, the day after using this my skin was blemish free, soft & felt slightly different than normal. I enjoy the First Crush 3-in-1 Blemish/Acne Treatment as well it smelled pleasant & was soft on my face while fighting off dirt & black heads I plan to use this product more often as it worked well with my skin. Another product from Merlot that I would love to own in the future is their Moonlight Radiance Night Cream. Want to learn about their new upcoming products? Head over to Follow their facebook or sign up for their newsletter.
One lucky reader will win their choice of either a Purifying Peel Off Mask OR the First Crush 3-in-1 Blemish/Acne Treatment. Giveaway is open to US & Canadian residents.

My vision is important for me to keep up on having two small children, I want to always have up to date check ups to keep my vision the best it can be. Having two kids means a lot of running around, goofing around & a lot of day to day activities which lead to my glasses being knocked off. I also admit that I have fallen asleep with them on which doesn't help they need to be replaced, instead of glasses I have been thinking about getting contacts. When I go in for my next exam I am going to see if they carry CooperVision contacts, their website offers a free trial pair with printed coupon. If my local office doesn't carry CooperVision then I plan on buying them through their website, contacts are easy to use & more convenient than glasses.

Safeway Fuel Program Reivew & Giveaway

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others.Products were Provided by Safeway for the Review & Giveaway free of charge****

Were you aware that Safeway has a new fuel points program? Safeway has teamed up with Chevron/Texaco to bring you a fuel points program based of what you spend at Safeway on your groceries. I have to admit I never really shop at Safeway so I wasn't sure what to expect,While I was at work I snagged their weekly ad out of the mail & found deals that excited me right away. If you are a club member their website offers coupons which can be loaded onto your club card.

It turns out this week they are having quite a few 2 for $6 sales along with lots of BOGO deals on house products for their club members. When I arrived to the store I went to the customer service desk to sign up for the club card, the sign up process took less than three minutes to finish soon I was on my way to exploring the store with my new club card. For review purposes I was given a gift card to use in store to get/gain fuel points to use at the gas station, note I did use some of my own money as well since the prices were too good to beat. What did I buy? I purchased the following items which were Buy one get one free: Hefty Trash Bags,Febreeze Candles, & Safeway Brand Laundry soap, I purchased two Snuggle fabric softeners on sale 2 for $6. They had another wonderful deal going where if you purchased $40 worth of baby gear [select baby items] you received $10 off automatically at the register, along with other sales items I spent $112 on a $160 worth of products. I saved $45 & I scored 104 fuel points to save at the gas pump. Note: The taxes on your purchase are not included in your fuel points total, your Subtotal before taxes is how many fuel points you will receive.

How does the Fuel points program work? For every $1 you spend on groceries you receive 1 point, for every $1 spend on gift cards you get 2 points & for every $1 you spend on pharmacy purchases you get 1 point. After you receive your fuel points you can head to any Chevron,Texaco or Safeway fuel stations to use your points, Every 100 points gets you $0.10 off at the pump. You can receive up to a $1 off per gallon which really makes a difference to your wallet, Points can be collected over the month & then be used for a one time use at the fuel station, your points will then start to recollect. I plan to build up my points a bit more before I head to fill up my vehicle but I look forward to the extra savings at the pump! Want some fun recipes? Don't forget to head over to check out their facebook page.

PRIZE ALERT: One lucky reader will receive a $50 gift card to Safeway!

Phoenix Comi-Con

It has always been a goal of mine to attend a Comi-Con, but let me tell you I wasn't as prepared as I should have been. First always remember to head to big events early it always helps you beat the traffic & beat the crowd plus it is always nice to get a head start on the day. The Phoenix Comi-con was beyond packed two escalators stopped working due to the sheer mass of people, the only thing I don't like about big events is people tend to push & shove when they are wanting to get somewhere.

After getting our passes & heading into the main hall things cleared out a bit and there were dozens of shops/booths to check out. There were both from big sellers and from local artists along with all the booths for the visiting TV starts,Comic book writers & more some were freely out & about for everyone to chat with and others had set times for signing autographs & for photo ops all scheduled times were posted at their assigned booths which made it easy to plan your day the info was also available on their website. Next year I will have to remember to bring more cash than I had on hand, Photo OPS cost anywhere from $20-$80 depending on who you are taking a photo with & autographs are $30 each. Needless to say I didn't get any photos or autographs instead I explored the store booths we found quite a few goodies that my husband & I liked. If you are looking for a certain character I would suggest going to day one or day two otherwise the more popular character items such as paintings, sketches, ect sell out fast. There were tons of creative & exciting costumes everything from Flash Gordon to Batman & The Joker. I plan to attend again next year, having better knowledge of how everything works I will be much more prepared for next years event and I will be dressing up as well. While we were there we bought an awesome painting of Night Crawler which I will share with you in a separate post.

I found there was a nice mixture of guests who were attending this years Phoenix Comi-Con, some of the guests included Laurie Holden,Chandler Riggs,& Micheal Rooker from The Walking Dead, Sam Witwer from Being Human to Dean Cain who has played Superman & hosted Ripley's believe it or not. I look forward to seeing who attends next year & next year I have set a goal of trying to attend both the Phoenix Comi-con & the San Diego Comi-con.

If you child is anything like mine they love being outside & they like trying to catch bugs and other garden critters. I don't have a problem with my daughter catching small lizards and bugs like lady bugs but I don't want her putting them into our dishes & storage containers so I was beyond happy to be offer a chance to review the Bug playground by Smart Lab toys.

It is a 5”w x 3.5”h x 3”d plastic playground for bug that comes with a climbing wall, pool with ramp, curly slide, crawling tube, jungle gym along with a hand held bug catcher for the times your child doesn't want to physically touch the bugs. So far my daughter has caught Lady bugs,Beetles,A dragon fly, lizards & a cricket which have all had the pleasure of enjoying their bug playground. Jersey Mikes Subs Review

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others.Coupons for free subs were Provided by Jersey Mikes for the Review free of charge****

If I am out & about when I start craving a sub I usually head to Subway, I never really thought about heading to other sub makers until I received the chance to work with a company called Jersey Mikes. For a review I was sent some tickets for free subs for my family, We actually have a Jersey Mikes just up the road so we were excited to go.

Upon entering the store the first thing I noticed was a homey atmosphere that made you feel like you fit right in,The second thing I noticed was that they had a Deli style meat window set up. They cut the meat fresh right in front of you which was nice knowing when your meat was cut because subway tends to leave theirs out. Their menu is simple and delicious! Both my husband and I loved their subs,we have been back numerous times since, I have even signed up for their rewards program. My husband is a huge Philly cheese steak fan & says that Jersey Mikes has the best Philly cheese steak he has ever tried and believe me has has tried a ton. I like that they wrap their hot subs in tin foil to keep them fresh & hot on the drive home,The employees are very friendly & even offered my four year old daughter a free cookie though I planned to pay for it which is always a nice gesture. The restaurant itself is very clean & well kept the company does a wonderful job and I look forward to going to Jersey Mikes for my subs for now on. Price wise & food wise I find they are better than competing sub companies. You should head over to their website to check where the closest Jersey Mikes is to you &if you sign up for their Email list you will receive a FREE sub & drink on your birthday.

Denby Giveaway & Review

****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. The opinions are solely my own and may vary from others.Products were Provided by Denby for the Review & Giveaway free of charge****

My husband & I love to cook, It is healthier than fast food & we can control what does or doesn't get put into our food. A big part of cooking is the equipment you use, the pan or pot makes a huge difference in the way your food turns out. I am very excited to have the chance to work with a company called Denby on a review of their Jet Cast Iron Skillet Pan.

This skillet is a pure black 10 inch pan handcrafted from molten cast iron. The skillet heats up fast which is nice for when you want to throw together a meal in a hurry, and I have found that the heat distributes very evenly across the pan. I find that this pan works great for cooking a number of food items including chicken, pancakes, fried eggs & more. When I want to make grilled chicken without going outside in the blazing Arizona heat I use this pan to cook it evenly all the way through making the inside juicy & tender but making the outside a little crispier. Denby also offers utensils, glassware and other assorted cooking products. Another item I found that catches my eye from the Denby website is their jet ceramic flower mini casserole dish which can be used not only to cook your food but to serve it on the table as well. The dish is designed to be used for both cooking & serving display purposes I plan to buy one in the future.

Prize Alert:
One lucky winner will receive their own 10in Jet Cast Iron Skillet Pan.

Nuby Baby Spoon Reivew!

My son is growing up faster than I could have imagined, He is only five months old but he has never been in that "Newborn/Infant" stage. The first week of his life he was a sweet innocent infant then about a week after we arrived home everything changed he wanted to be independent. He has been growing fast both with height & weight he is also ahead of the game when it comes to getting around all over the living room, lifting himself up,standing & more which he has been doing since he was about three months old.

One of the things he Loves to do is eat, He loves trying new foods & will try to steal any food that you yourself are trying to eat. I am excited to share my experience with Feeding Spoons by Nuby. You might be thinking, "What's the big deal? All baby spoons are the same" that is where you would be wrong my friend. When my daughter was a baby I always hated her baby spoons they were too short & I disliked that the spoon itself was plastic covered but the handle was metal. The Feeding spoons are perfect they are long & all plastic, Each package comes in an assortment of colors. I am an odd ball but sometimes I like pairing the color of the spoon to the food that my son will be eating for that meal.

The spoons are easy for both myself & my son to hold onto, I enjoy the amount of food that can be held by this spoon because it creates the perfect bite for my son. This set of baby feeding spoons can be purchased at,Amazon,TJ Maxx,Tuesday Morning, & ****This was not a paid post and my honest opinion was used. Where is Waldo?

Where in the world has Burning Moon's Inside Advice been for the last two months? It seemed that almost everything that could have happened did within the last two months. Many of you are aware that my family &I moved at the start of May, Shortly after the move my computer decided to give out on me leaving me to buy a new computer tower [In the process of working on this]. I celebrated my birthday, spent time with the kids,My truck broke down & worked then at the end of May I ended up in the hospital for four days due to my gallbaldder which was removed. Durning the month of June the apartment building directly next to us (about twenty feet away) caught on fire,Due to smoke the fire department asked us to leave our home. Thankfully nothing happened to our apartment but I feel horrible for those impacted directly by the fire.

Above are some of the photos from the damage caused by the fire, It started about 11pm & lasted about an hour. No one was hurt but all of the home in that building did mostly get destroyed. I still do not have a working computer at home but I feel it has been too long since I have been able to get on here & update my blog so I will be visiting my mothers house once a week possibly more to use her computer to make updates.
